Discover the Quail Ridge Community

Tom Carney was a pioneer of the Ellison district & was born in 1898 on the Simpson Ranch — now Kelowna Springs Golf Course.

Tom purchased the land, which is now Quail Ridge, in 1925. It consisted of 1,000 acres of range land.

The land upon which Quail Ridge now stands was sold to Pier Mac Petroleum in 1984, while the Carney family still owns 115 acres on the north side of Lochrem Road.

The Quail Ridge Golf Course was designed by renowned golf course architect Les Furber and built in 1994 & the Bear Course was designed by Nicklaus Designs and opened in 1999.

My History with Quail Ridge Community

I moved to Kelowna in 2005, having emigrated from the UK, and called Quail Ridge my home for 16 years.

When I first moved there, the entrance to the Community was a dirt road through the Pier Mac Quarry, and there were many times Clients said "I didn't know there was a Golf Course Community there!"

When I was first licensed, as an Agent, I worked from a boutique Real Estate office for the first 5 years, situated in the ground floor of the Borgata Lodge, before moving to Coldwell Banker in 2010. I watched the 1st move-ins at the Pointe at Quail complex in 2005, Bella Sera finished building in 2005, and Pinnacle Pointe was built in 2008.

Blasting took place at the top Capistrano Drive which allowed for the preparation of additional family building lots, which became known as Capistrano Peaks.

One of the biggest changes to the community was when it was announced that Quail Ridge would finally be getting a village hub and the Shops & Restaurants started to open in the winter of 2017.

Since then the Gravel Pit continued to shrink and has now become a thriving Industrial area.

I always found Quail Ridge to be a beautiful peaceful place to live, after the hustle and bustle of the City. I loved the views, the beautiful sunsets, watching the Bald Eagles Soar overhead, and walks on the Golf Course in Winter.

Hence, I'm naturally biased about this beautiful community, and have helped many Buyers & Sellers in the area who have called Quail Ridge home.
